Right now I own a 3200mhz crucial ballistix RGB RAM kit of 2x8GB, but the MOD software isn’t performing well enough—I’m planning to return it to Micro Center. I need to decide between Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB and Trident Z RGB for around $110. Which one offers better performance, support, and design? Also, my Mystic Light and NZXT Cam software are already set up for RGB lighting on case lights, fans, and the motherboard. If those work with the listed software or I can switch to it, that would be ideal. TIA
Both offer solid backing, but personal impressions vary. Corsair's environment is limited internally yet they back certain extensions like Gskill, while their software isn't designed to work well beyond their own offerings. This could cause issues. I usually suggest using only one at a time, particularly because each one slightly reduces system performance and they add up over time.
Both rams perform similarly at the same time and speed, with overclocking results being inconsistent. It’s hard to tell if it works because of instability and safety concerns. The main difference between AMD and Intel seems minor, especially since I’ve seen only slight gains on AMD systems. Using Corsair or G.Skill doesn’t make a big impact; both give similar results after reverting. For RGB settings, each brand has its own approach. You can also adjust the RAM color in your BIOS.
