I’m evaluating the Gigabyte Z690 Aorus Elite AX DDR5 (306,30 €) and ASUS PRIME Z690-A DDR5 (316,30 €). The Gigabyte model seems more appealing due to its lower cost and better VRM and Wi-Fi features, even though both look similar. I’m wondering if there’s anything else you might be overlooking or if there are other options worth considering at this price point.

Find the most affordable board similar to Z690 A Pro or UD. Anything else seems completely unnecessary, even with overclocking. If you require a lot of USB ports, simply purchase PCIe USB C add-on cards.

Be aware of paying premium rates for DDR5. Consider using a DDR4 board instead.
