Choose a lightweight Linux distribution suited for an older mini PC.
I previously purchased a Minix NEO N42C-4 with extra 4 GB DDR3 memory and a 256 GB WD Green M.2 SATA SSD. Now it sits idle, and I’m considering using it for simple tasks like web browsing and managing my Unraid server. Remembering that W10 performance was limited on the soldered Intel Pentium N4200 CPU, I’m curious if a lighter Linux distribution would feel more responsive. Would you suggest upgrading to 16 GB RAM or is it better to stick with the current setup? Thank you!
Ensure ChimeraOS is compatible with your setup, or opt for Garuda Gaming Edition for better support.
Thanks everyone! I plan to use Mint this weekend and check its performance.
