The 50 dollars is in a Steam gift card, while the other is in a Visa gift card, meaning I can only spend up to 50 dollars. With a 1080p monitor, I’m unsure if the performance boost will be worth it. The main reason for upgrading was to play Fortnite at ultra settings, but both the 12,100fps and 14,600k models only reached around 50 fps. It probably comes down to the GPU, so I might just return the 14,600k.

You could always explore free-to-play titles and save your cash. Sometimes I feel this rush when I keep revisiting the same games, so I switch to other options just to see what I enjoy more. The main point is that if your friends play the same games, it makes a big difference. My friends moved from CS 1.6 to Halo to Cod, and even though I didn’t always like those titles, I had fun playing with people I knew. I’ve even played Fortnite with my nephews occasionally—though I think it’s a bit silly. Tl;dr: Play games you can share with others to avoid wasting money and to find something you actually like.
