my friend is getting a brand new windows 10 install from a usb purchased at best buy. when he reaches a certain stage, the setup asks him to pick drivers, but he doesn’t have a cd drive or another machine to download and install them on. he’s stuck with just two options: 1. browse 2. rescan. i’m not an expert on installing windows on a brand new machine without any drivers. i’ve tried helping for about two days, and this is his first pc—he hasn’t been able to use it in three days yet, so i’m giving up.

You begin by following the installation instructions provided with your device. Once you complete the setup, you proceed to install the necessary drivers after Windows is fully installed.

He mentioned it would indicate no media drivers detected, followed by a blank window appearing.

Before the screen appears, there are preparatory actions. This is typically the initial setup step when installing Windows.

He confirmed my request, mentioning the pop-up of the no media option followed by the appearance of the driver window.

I can't record videos or take photos directly, but I can guide you through the steps to capture the process yourself. Let me know if you'd like instructions!

I might reach out to Microsoft, it seems there may be an issue with the installer files.
