Check if a 10.6 GHz CPU fits a 2080 display with a 1440p, 144Hz setup. The newer 11.6 GHz option exists but is pricier. I can't locate recent comparisons between CPUs and GPUs online. Let me know if you need further help!

Do you possess the 10600k yet? Buddy operates a 10600k plus 2070S with his 49" Samsung without problems, meaning your 1440p 144Hz display should perform better.

I don't see that issue, my speed has actually improved after the 144Hz upgrade. Changing the motherboard is an option, but it might not be necessary right now. Intel could be a good choice since it's more affordable at the moment.

10600k provides ample power—significant delays won’t occur on a 3080 or 3090. It mainly comes down to the game; MMOs tend to hit GPU limits sooner.
