I found this cheap tablet and I’m thinking about installing a custom ROM, but I haven’t located any available ones or recovery options. Just let me know what you’d like to do next.

They didn’t mention it, so I just cited it. If there’s no talk about it on XDA, chances are you won’t be able to install custom ROMs.

Create your own ROM using your own tailored drivers.

It's challenging, especially with my onda tablet. The Chinese vendors often complicate things. Without a custom ROM, finding a generic method is unlikely. If you could port the latest ROM for your older hardware version, you might be able to root it without needing any extra tools or recovery software.
