I see why the keyboard and mouse can cause discomfort—your hands really do get tired. I’m curious if there are console controllers that work with your PC and let you use your monitor instead of a portable setup. I know about the NVidia Shield, but I’m hoping to find something similar that fits your needs.

There are options to connect a console controller on a PC. The Xbox recently launched the Xbox One controller drives. Refer to the support page for details: http://support.xbox.com/en-AU/xbox-on-ot...dows-setup

There are many options available. If you already own an Xbox or PS3 controller, you can connect it to your computer, though compatibility with Windows isn't guaranteed. There are also PC-specific controllers that plug in via USB, like the one listed on Newegg. I’m unsure about its performance, but it’s being used as an example. My cousin recently bought a PS3 and discovered a controller designed for PC that works with it. Good luck with your search!

I don’t care about the brand. I’m looking for a different way to interact with the WSD buttons instead of using a mouse or hand hovering.

Just connect your Xbox 360 controller and try it out. I thought it wouldn’t work, but it does. Downloading the drive should get you going. Using Windows 8.1 might make a difference.

You can connect Xbox 360 controllers via USB using a compatible adapter and a specialized macro. I don’t recall the exact name but heard it worked well for TES:Online. There’s talk of future support for the Xbox One controller, which is considered a top choice. PS4 compatibility already exists in some form, though details are unclear. The main challenge is adjusting DPI/CPI/sensitivity for modern controllers, especially on high-resolution displays. I’ve experimented with settings ranging from 4400 to 5000+ DPI on panels at 1920x1080 or lower, which might be unusual.

Using Windows 8.1 should be fine. Just download and install the proper drivers from I_Got_Lost's site, then connect it to your controller via the USB port on your PC. You can also purchase wireless adapters for Xbox controllers if you prefer wireless use.

Thanks a lot! Your assistance really helped, and it won't cost anything at all. Thanks again!
