I have a DRAM calculator result for Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 3200MHz CL16 DDR4 (CMW16GX4M2C3200C16). I've been feeling quite bored lately, so I decided to upgrade my PC and make the most out of my budget. Right now I'm running a Ryzen 5 2600 on a B450 Tomahawk MAX. I used the thaon burner to verify the RAM, and it shows a Samsung B die. I'm pretty sure it's not a well-binned unit, which is why I'm hesitant to exceed the 3200MHz rating unless someone here believes it's feasible. I think reducing latency could be beneficial for my Ryzen 5 2600. Will this adjustment be worthwhile? Is it safe to proceed? Do you think it will perform stably? Also, is this a CL14 upgrade? I see "14" at the top and assumed it, sorry for the confusion. I plan to use it for gaming, streaming, and some editing in Premiere Pro occasionally.

Ensure your RAM stays below 1.5V, it can still be fine sometimes

CL16 @ 3200 b-die is a problematic setup. Expect to need voltage adjustments, increased IO/SA, and some fine-tuning of secondary timings to even attempt 14-14-14-34. The 1T command rate might not work at those settings either. Consider starting with 1T for better results; it usually improves performance without requiring voltage changes.

If you managed to run CL 14, you should aim for better than 14-17-18-17 settings. I don't think this would bring about any real performance boost even if it was stable. The most effective method is to focus on the fastest speed you can reach over XMP. Maintain the same timings as XMP or slightly relax them to extract higher MHz from the RAM. For example, increasing your frequency from 3200MHz to 3400MHz at the same settings would give a solid performance gain. This is the strategy I recommend.
