Checking Windows 10 support for your laptop.
Checking Windows 10 support for your laptop.
Hey there! I see you're dealing with an Acer Aspire V5-573P running Windows 8.1 after a recent upgrade to Windows 10. Many users face similar issues, especially when hardware changes affect compatibility. Since the support for Windows 10 on older models can be limited, it's smart to explore options like upgrading the RAM or considering a more recent model if you're planning another upgrade. What do you think about checking for firmware updates or consulting a specialist?
Performing a fresh setup of Windows 10. I recommend waiting until April 11th, as a new major Creators Update for Windows 10 is coming out. At that point, obtain the Windows 10 ISO and carry out a clean installation. Avoid upgrading from Windows 8 or 8.1 to Windows 10. There will be many issues and driver conflicts.
They clearly indicated they don’t back Windows 10 for your laptop.
It seems they likely don’t back Win 10 and won’t develop drivers for it. However, Win 10 should work with your laptop’s hardware. I had a VAIO running Windows 8, but Sony didn’t provide drivers for Win 10, so I upgraded anyway—everything functioned properly.
I purchased my laptop (HP Probook 4530s) five years ago and switched to Windows 10 last year. Everything is working perfectly.
