I've been searching for a game to share with my partner for a while now. With our distinct gaming preferences—my liking fast-paced titles like Rocket League or Left 4 Dead, and her preference for story-rich RPGs—I often struggled to find something we both enjoyed. Especially since MMORPGs aren't my thing. Eventually we gave up and kept trying games we weren’t sure about. Degrees of Separation came up occasionally. It's a short, charming, and affordable game that feels a bit like Trine. The puzzles are simple yet clever, requiring intuition and varied thinking. Some levels are easy, others demand quick thought. I think someone outside the gaming crowd might appreciate it. Keep in mind the difficulty can feel uneven at times. Though the art style is nice, it's not highly detailed—making it surprisingly accessible on older hardware, like a toaster.
