Hi all,
After roughly three weeks of regular use, my Gigabyte Radeon RX 9060 XT Gaming OC 16GB stopped showing any image even when powering on. The fans and lights are functioning, but the GPU fails to initialize.
In Windows, the device shows up in Device Manager with Code 43, while GPU-Z displays all clocks at 0 MHz.
I’ve tried several solutions so far:
- Reset CMOS
- Changed display settings to PEG
- Switched PCI-E_E1 lane (Gen3,4,5,Auto)
- Disabled Re-Size BAR
- Used different cables and ports (HDMI, DP)
- Tested another slot – same problem persists
- Another GPU in the same slot works perfectly
Details about the hardware:
Model: MSI PRO B850-P WIFI
Power supply: be quiet! Pure Power 12 M 750W 80 Plus Gold
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
RAM: Patriot Viper Venom DDR5 32 GB 6000MHz CL30
Anyone else faced this issue? Is there a possible fix or should I move forward with the RMA process?

In Windows, the card shows up in Device Manager with Code 43, while GPU-Z displays all clocks at 0 MHz. Because the card is brand new, I recommend against using a CH341A BIOS toolkit or reflashing the VBIOS, as these actions may be seen by Gigabyte as tampering with the GPU, which could void your warranty. Have anyone had a similar experience with error code 43 in Device Manager and zero (0) in some fields on GPU-Z? Yes, it seems the GPU has stopped working. Is there any method to get it back online, or should I go straight to RMA after contacting both the card seller and Gigabyte?
