7900X would feel quite intense when compared to the 9000 or 10000 lines. Unless you prefer removing the CPU's protective layer. Unless it’s just the 7980XE.

I tried some liquid metal on my current setup and feel confident about it. What about the MSI B450 Gaming PRO Carbon AC or the MSI B450 Tomahawk max?

The Tomahawk Max seems like a solid option, even though the B450M Mortar offers two M.2 ports. I’d prefer the superior PCIe performance. Gen 2 speeds are quite limited. I might go with Intel instead.

I’d retain what you currently have unless the results fall short. Why not invest in a new GPU or additional RGB fans? :3

Not exactly the same IPC value, but the cache structure is similar. Performance is slightly lower and clock speeds are reduced.
