I possess a GTX 1070 and I'm not satisfied with its performance. It's hard to play smoothly between 20-40 frames per second. Switching from low preset to ultra feels only about a 10 fps change, which doesn't seem reasonable. Could my CPU be the issue? Here are my specs: OS Windows 10 Pro 64-bit, CPU Intel Core i5 4690K @ 4.20 GHz, RAM 16GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 1800MHz, MOBO ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. Z97-K, GPU MSI GAMING X GTX 1070 8GB, HDD 1TB Seagate ST1000DM003-1ER162, SSD Samsung 850 EVO 500 GB, 2.5 inch Solid State Drive, PSU Corsair Builder Series CXM 600W Modular 80 PLUS Bronze Certified, CASE Corsair CC-9011050-WW Carbide Series SPEC-01 Mid-Tower ATX, COOLER Hyper 212 Evo with 4 heatpipes, Tower CPU cooler, FANS x2 Air Series 120mm Quiet Edition High Airflow Fan AF120 Red, and a monitor Asus VG248QE LCD (24 inches, 1080p).

The game isn't highly optimized, so keep your expectations realistic.

It's frustrating seeing single-player shine while multiplayer feels almost impossible. I'm used to smooth gameplay at high frame rates, but this one is glitchy and hard to enjoy.

I can offer examples and comparisons to help you assess whether an upgrade is worthwhile, similar to how you'd evaluate CPU performance in Arma 3. Let me know what specific details you're considering!

Choose a processor offering better performance per cycle and a faster base clock, since ARMA3 runs on one thread.

The results improve as the central processor speed increases. I don’t think a 4790K is worth it; consider a Kaby Lake i5 if you can afford it, which would mean switching platforms otherwise. Use the fastest RAM available for the motherboard you have: https://techreport.com/review/31179/inte...eviewed/11 performance depends on RAM speed.

arma runs on a CPU and an i5 4690k isn't compatible with a 1070; the graphics card will become a performance issue.

I don’t have any funds for another upgrade like that.
