I recently switched my router due to ongoing ping issues, but the problem persists with readings above 100 for several months. All troubleshooting attempts have failed, so I'm seeking advice from others on possible solutions.

Please share some details so we can assist effectively. Is the device connected via a cable or wirelessly? Do you have the router's make and model? If using Wi-Fi, what is its type (2.4GHz or 5GHz)? Any other factors like distance or obstructions between the router and PC would help us start.

Yes, it is connected to a separate router. Both devices share the main router's connection via MOCA 2 TG249GL-LIB liberty connect box.

Next, the initial check involves connecting directly to the main router to rule out any issues beyond that point.

I've already attempted that and disconnected everything else it mentions around the same ping, then it gives the same in-game results.

This setup is set up this way because it helps us understand your situation better. Giving more details on the other questions would be helpful. Your connection type and costs matter too. If you connect to the main router via Ethernet instead of the secondary one, the problem might still occur. The MoCA adapters you’re using are what brand they are. Are your coaxial cables in good shape? It could simply be that the connection between your PC and the game server is too congested.

I set this up since my router is on the floor, so I used one upstairs for my PC.

It has been happening for a while now, and it appears in every game. When I check on OpenSpeedTest.com, the ping ranges from 30 to 73.

I understand you're considering using both routers in their default "router" settings, which could lead to double-NAT. If you don't have a particular need for this configuration, an unmanaged switch would suffice for the upper level. You could also run the upstairs router in AP mode to replicate the same outcome. However, you haven't addressed many earlier questions yet, which restricts the advice we can provide.
