Checking my new gaming rig's performance on 3DMark scores.
Hey everyone, just checked my new gaming rig and noticed the CPU scores on 3DMark aren't as high as I thought they would be. The specs look good, but maybe something is missing in the configuration. Let me know if you think anything needs adjusting! Thanks.
The value provided represents the average CPU performance across all results, with a maximum of 13451. It suggests your score is reasonable given the overall average of around 12378. Likely you just came out on top in that small segment of the competition.
What are you expecting? It says you scored in the same range as 96% of all users with the same set up. The 3900x isn't going to give you a giant boosted score on gaming benchmarks because its higher core count doesn't necessarily give an advantage when compared to a CPU with a higher core speed. For instance, my 3700X get 10,300 on that same test. You're getting a bit of a bump from the cores, but when you're going against CPUs with 5Ghz clock speed, you're not going to keep up.
The CPU scores seem a bit off. I've noticed many results online, and some even go above 12,000. It might indicate an issue with your system.
Your CPU is reporting a score of 11,300, which falls within typical ranges. 3D Mark scores only consider CPU and GPU performance; other cooling methods like water cooling, ice water, or LN2 aren't factored in. What cooling setup do you have? Are you running an overclock? Is your RAM boosted via XMP settings? Have you adjusted any BIOS parameters for the Ryzen 3000?
