I own an EVGA SC GTX 1070 paired with an overclocked i5 4690k, both running GPU OC at the provided settings. Any memory boost would likely have caused instability during a 3DMark Stresstest. My GPU operates using micromemory, which might explain the limited overclocking results. My CPU was initially set to 3.5 GHz and was boosted to 4.0 GHz with unchanged voltages; temperatures varied between 68°C and 81°C during a Prime95 stress test lasting one hour. I haven’t pushed it beyond 4.0 GHz because I’m still new to overclocking and don’t want to risk damaging any components. In the 3DMark Firestrike test, both systems maintained performance around 50-60 FPS. Here are my scores: http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/15464197? You can check others’ results for comparison. My PC configuration includes: EVGA SC 8GB GTX 1070, Intel i5 4690k at 3.5 GHz, Kingston HyperX Fury 16 GB RAM at 1866 MHz, a 1 TB HDD spinning at 7200 RPM, a 500W EVGA power supply, Asus Z97-Pro Gamer, NZXT S340 Black, and Hyper 212 EVO. Front and rear fans are set as described.
my score is [email protected] and [email protected]. with hyperthreading, the combined performance makes my physics score better than yours. what cpu version are you testing with? if you're using something above prime 26.6, your temps will be too high. try retesting with prime 26.6. you should reach around 4.4ghz on the 4670k without major problems, keeping core temps under 1.30v and staying below 80c.
