I'm currently using version 1909 due to compatibility concerns, as many articles have mentioned before. It's my main device for work, and I don't want any issues. People are also suggesting staying on 1909 because of that. Should I upgrade to 2004 or 20H2?

I always use the newest Windows release and haven’t faced any compatibility issues. Since your equipment isn’t very old, it shouldn’t cause problems. However, if you’re worried it might, learn about the updates and think carefully before upgrading.

You'll often notice variations, sometimes both bothersome and helpful. The impact hinges on the number of applications you employ. Even minor discrepancies can be resolved, especially when considering hardware or software alignment. Upgrading is secure if compatibility is a concern.

Sorry about the mistake, but the issue isn't with the hardware itself. It's mainly due to the software I'm using—some of it is quite outdated (like from five years ago)—and the newer versions require much more advanced specifications. The gap between them and older systems shouldn’t be that big, right?

At first I didn’t see any changes in my everyday routine. If I hadn’t noticed the update process during shutdowns, I wouldn’t have realized it was the latest version. I’ve never even looked into what’s new. Note: Just realized the only change I observed was the updated Edge Chromium browser, which I really like and now rely on as my primary tool.

Created a snapshot of your present setup with Macrium Reflect, upgraded Windows, and tried it out on your own. If issues arise, revert to the saved image.

Well, the updated Edge seems to work fine in some ways, thankfully Chromium is available and open-source. Still can't rely on it because Vivaldi remains more to my liking. A good thought, actually. I might consider trying something similar later.
