I've placed the order and it's expected to arrive on Wednesday. I'm checking if my MSI GTX 970 graphics card and i7 3770 @ 3.40 MHz will work with this power supply, just to be sure before they ship. I hope it will be fine but I'm seeking opinions since I'm not very comfortable with computers. Thanks in advance. Also wondering if this configuration can handle overclocking effectively.

The psu is fine.
The i7-3770 isn't overclockable.
Regarding the graphics card, I wouldn't waste time trying to tweak it.
Even if you attempt it, the psu remains sufficient.

It's more than sufficient, 550watts would work. But having a bit extra is always nice if you can spare the cost, so I'd go with 650. It should perform well for overclocking. The PSU is of good quality, I'd suggest it.
