I already have a 6700XT connected to the Seasonic Focus Platinum 550w and it has been running smoothly.
Maybe I’ll recheck the power consumption across the whole setup, but I’m curious if someone is using a 6800XT with a good 550W PSU.
The TDP difference looks about 70W, which seems manageable for the PSU.
I’m considering an upgrade to a 6800XT, but ideally I’d prefer not to replace the power supply at the same time.

I don't suggest using anything below a 750w PSU with the 6800XT. It's risky—GPUs remain costly, and failing PSUs can damage other parts.
Usually they don't, but it's still not worth taking that chance.
A helpful reminder of the first point came to mind when I had my 6900XT and a Seasonic PSU (PX-850W).
I've used and suggested many Seasonic PSUs, with one currently in my setup. As someone noted, certain Seasonic PSUs and RX 68xx/RX69xx GPUs have documented problems.
For me, these issues surfaced during the hardest times of COVID, leading me first to a Silverstone and then switching to a Corsair PSU to address the problem. Similar concerns exist with the top-tier RTX 3080/3080Ti/3090 graphics cards.
