Prime95 is likely the top choice for stress testing. If it succeeds, it should handle other tasks without issues.
Cinebench and Realbench serve more as benchmarks rather than true stress tests.

Stress testing performs well but does not ensure complete stability. It should be combined with further tests for reliability.

Realbench offers both benchmark and stress test options. You can run an overclock pass with Prime95 at 24hs, but it may crash under gaming loads or other conditions. Prime95 is suitable for thermal testing, though the load remains steady—it doesn’t provide strong voltage stability results like Realbench’s stress test, which features highs and lows. I’d start with 8 hours of Realbench, and only proceed to P95 if it passes; I stopped using P95 because it’s mostly synthetic and not representative of normal CPU usage. It still has its place.

To ensure testing stability I use Prime 95 together with a 3dMark or Furmark loop, then perform an OCCT stability check.
I typically run 48 hours of each test, but since my machines are running Folding @ Home I need 100% stability.

Realbench is available at no cost and offers better performance for stability checks.

Prime95 serves well as a metric for evaluating thermal compliance and memory stability. Although it is effective for stability testing, using the Blend mode or any other setting can lead to better results overall. Running Prime95 in blend mode for 8 hours (or a custom setup from my guide) alongside Realbench for 8 hours, plus four rounds of Memtest86, would be the most reliable approach.

Thank you, I wasn't aware of the extent of Realbench. Another valuable takeaway today.

I completed 8 hours of prime95 now. Next, I plan to run the same duration using the asus realbench.

Which test mode were you using in Prime95?
