Hey there, I'm looking for help with keeping a steady 240fps in Fortnite and Warzone. I've noticed my FPS is more inconsistent lately, especially with my RTX 2080 GPU. I'm wondering if my CPU might need a upgrade or if my RAM speed is the issue. A friend mentioned Ryzen needs fast RAM, so I'm open to suggestions. Thanks!

There are many options available, but you mentioned needing 8GB of single-channel RAM. It looks like a prebuilt setup. For performance, especially in games like Fortnite or Warzone, an 8x2 3200C16 at around $83 might work, though 240fps isn't guaranteed.

Single channel affects everyone, not just IGPU users. 8GB vs 4GB is a huge difference in frame times and rates.

The difference is significant because the GPU doesn't have to coordinate with the CPU over dynamic RAM. However, I might be mistaken. Source requested.

He adds a second stick, making it much better. One clear case stands out. Regarding how the GPU receives data in VRAM, it comes via the CPU and then gets stored in RAM.

Raising it to 3700 adds another 10%, making the total around 20% improvement over the 1700 configuration (5800 to 3700). This translates to 10-15% more speed per core. The gains come from higher instruction performance and more clock cycles across generations. A Ryzen processor with a 3600MHz core clock paired with a 16-16-16-36 architecture delivers excellent results. Make sure to check memory options before buying. A dual-channel 2x8GB setup is ideal for gaming, while a 2x16GB 3200MHz CL14 works well for streaming and general use. GL
