Update is now live today instead of the 26th on the DLC. My save from the previous mission is now locked. I've tried everything to get 2.0 working, even downloaded the 1.6 version on Steam for two hours, but nothing helps now. What should I do? Should I try again and spend about three hours redownloading everything? If yes, where is the save file so I can back up my saves each time I redownload and replace them?

Did you install any modifications? Their update logs and the launcher suggest removing them, since they might trigger crashes if not patched for 2.0 compatibility. Rather than deleting the game, consider right-clicking > Properties > Installed Files > Confirm integrity of game files. Files remained untouched. I applied mods and cleared all mod directories prior to launching the game. Completely removed the Vortex mod manager and deleted all related folders, including app data files. Checked thoroughly and still encountered issues. 2.0 experienced a startup error on the "PRESSTO CONTINUE" screen, requiring two hours to re-download version 1.6. Verified everything but couldn't reach the start screen as with 2.0, which displays "PRESS [none] TO CONTINUE."
Have you attempted pressing the space bar to proceed, even though it doesn<|pad|> to display the key? Could be a simple UI problem. Otherwise, unclear what could be behind this. The game functions properly after the update. Apart from the AMD multi-core patch, I didn’t have any mods before the update. I’m impacted by the recognized problem where the UI reflects controller inputs even when using keyboard and mouse. Still, I can operate K&M without issues.
