Hey there, fellow Tippers! I'm trying to upgrade my PC and found myself in a tricky spot. My friends have some nice G.Skill Ripjaws V 16 GB 4000MHz CL15 RAM available at their place. I know it's a premium option, but my setup is an Asus ProArt X570 motherboard and I'm switching to a Ryzen 5 5600X soon, which won't support 1.5V RAM. Can I possibly run the RAM at a lower voltage like 1.35V to get better performance without risking damage? Also, what's the best RAM speed and CL for gaming on a 1440P display? It's possible I'm mistaken, but staying above "xmp voltage levels" is usually seen as overclocking rather than supported. You might want to look at the maximum voltage for RAM instead of the CPU? Also, it seems like you probably don't need such a high voltage after all. Thanks for the link!
In terms of official support, technically you cant even go beyond 3200MHz. Does it stop you? It certainly hasnt stopped others, so there is no reason why you cant run 1.5v memory. It doesnt affect lifespan of the motherboard nor CPU either, if anything dies by this voltage (it wont cuz this kit is rated for that, plus it depends on the model of the memory dies) it will be the memory stick.

it works fine at 1.5v even though they might not run at all. gdm will default to 4000 c16, and you can't run 2000 fclk without a solution. you'll need to lower it to 3800 (which could be tight) or go even further like 3733 c16 or 3800 c16. the best approach is to manually overclock the memory kit to around 3800 c14 with optimized timings.
