Check each piece individually before deciding. It’s possible one stick isn’t working. There’s nothing special about RAM designed only for AMD. RAM is RAM.

What motherboard model are you working with? Have you tested each component individually? Do you have the serial numbers on the side of the boards?

Are you referring to slots 2 and 4 instead of 1 and 3? You also want to avoid having two RAM sticks placed next to each other.
