Running a 13900k and NH-D15 with nearly identical RAM speeds has low-profile memory, which likely caused RAM clearance problems.
I reviewed a few more performance tests and I feel confident with you—it looks like using an air cooler is restricting the wattage for Intel XTU. Thanks for the suggestion; I wasn’t aware Patriot was seen as more dependable. I’m a bit puzzled, since I wasn’t sure where you found that information. Are you implying the RAM in my parts list is low-profile? I plan to stick with the 13900 and opt for an AIO cooler of 360 or 420 mm. If anyone has any advice, please share!
Make sure the Patriots perform exceptionally well, but note that the NV2 isn't quite as dependable—think Arctic freezer 3, top quality, excellent value, and it comes with active VRM cooling.
It's already suggested, but liquid freezer II or III would be the best choice. A contact frame also makes a noticeable impact on temperature, since the LGA1700 socket tends to warp, leading to poor connections and inaccurate readings.
It seems the Liquid Freezer III includes one. Here’s the link for reference: https://www.arctic.de/en/Liquid-Freezer-...xt=Contact Frame for Intel LGA1700 and LGA1851
Yes, the AF3's mounting system also serves as a contact frame, which is really useful
