Hey everyone, just updated my RAM after realizing it didn’t fit with my motherboard. I’m using an MSI MAG X670E Tomahawk and now have a V-COLOR Manta XFinity RGB DDR5 48GB 7800 MHz setup. I bought four sticks, thinking it would work, but after trying to enable XMP it kept failing. I had to reset the CMOS and remove two sticks before it booted. Once all four were installed, the base speed dropped to 3600 MHz. Now I’m stuck choosing between higher speed or less memory. Full specs are listed above, and my BIOS was confirmed up to date before the change.

When purchasing a two-stick kit, the performance tests use just two sticks. The speeds and timing checks aren't done with four sticks. The 7800 model is quite challenging to run on a Ryzen 7000 generally. A higher frequency of 6000MHz at Cl30 would have been better. You might want to adjust the settings manually. Edit: Adjusting timings and frequency at a lower clock speed.

Review the motherboard QVL and see that no RAM exceeding 6400MHz has been confirmed with more than two DIMMs

You need to adjust timing settings yourself—it's manageable but can be challenging with Ryzen. You don't have to go for the highest speeds; timing matters more, and even standard settings work fine. RAM performance is often misunderstood, but using dual channels is enough.
