I discovered a YouTube tutorial that explains undervolting the Mu 5800X. It shows great results, but I want to confirm it will stay stable during gaming for several hours. I'm using Prime 95 at maximum heat settings and haven't played much yet—around ten minutes. I'm curious about how long I should keep it running to ensure consistent performance.

I wouldn't waste 10 minutes running prime95 just to test. It took me problems with CPU voltages long after installation and claimed stability. You can't fix it—just play games and check if it works. If the issue was related to CPU or core settings, I usually run prime95/occt for at least six hours before doing regular tests.

I didn’t mean to limit the test to just 10 minutes. I’ve been checking it for about ten minutes and don’t have an idea of how long to continue. I’ll go with your guidance and just play through it.

I run OCCT's CPU stress test with a big, changing AVX2 workload for 15 minutes per core. It consistently shows the most accurate results for spotting even minor instability. If you encounter any errors during testing, adjust your voltage settings accordingly. You're likely using the curve optimizer rather than a simple undervolt setting—make sure that's enabled. It's uncommon to get stable all-core undervolting, so consider testing each core individually. For instance, on my 5900X, 8 out of 12 cores needed -30°C, but the remaining ones required only -27 or -28 for stability. At first, I set everything to -30 and it worked well until occasional problems appeared.
