Be aware that the contact pads are coated in gold, yet friction between the CPU and the AM5 socket on the motherboard has left some marks. A few of these scratches are quite apparent, and I’m concerned that some of the gold plating may already be damaged. Since I’m not very familiar with PC hardware, I’m unsure how significant this issue is. Also, my father put a lot of effort into getting this PC for me, so I might be overreacting—yet I just want to make sure everything is fine.

Just to clarify, the CPU experiences those humidity levels both when installed on the motherboard and inside the socket. It isn’t sealed completely like in a hermetically protected setup; air continues to circulate around the pins even after installation. This isn’t a major concern unless you’re cooling the CPU below ambient temperature in a humid environment without any protection for the socket. The only real way to achieve such cooling is with liquid nitrogen or other specialized methods—not regular air or water cooling. While airflow is reduced inside the socket, the relative humidity remains manageable unless conditions become extremely damp. If you expose the CPU to rain, it’s best to dry the contacts before use. Otherwise, it should be okay.

Your CPU appears to be in good condition since it wasn’t exposed to water. Although high humidity can speed up corrosion over time, a 15-minute exposure is negligible. If it had been wet, simply let it air dry. The images suggest otherwise.

The datasheet for that CPU isn't publicly available, but you can review other AMD products to understand their environmental constraints. https://docs.amd.com/r/en-US/ds1000-t2-t...Conditions This accelerator card supports up to 95% humidity when stored and 90% during operation. Are you running your PC in this 94% humidity setting? If yes, it exceeds the recommended limits. Still, I wouldn't be too concerned.
