Experienced with a Ryzen 7900X in 94% humidity? Let’s review the situation. After placing it on a motherboard and adjusting the contact pads, the room stayed around 25°C but humidity soared to 94%. I’m concerned about possible metal corrosion and long-term damage. Could this really affect the component? Your caution is understandable—please share your thoughts if you’re unsure. Thanks!

It's okay. Rust develops gradually rather than suddenly, usually needing weeks or even months of prolonged moisture. Just 15 minutes isn't enough. I wouldn't be concerned.

CPU performance is stable for 15 minutes. Ensure the board is completely dry before reinstalling.

You left the CPU on a surface, similar to a table? That's perfectly acceptable. You could even submerge it in water and let it air dry (ensuring no residue remains) – it should be okay. Extended exposure to saltwater might pose a problem, though high humidity won't harm it until you keep it there for years.

The display appears lifeless. I simply positioned the CPU on the surface and did nothing further.

I simply removed the CPU from the motherboard and set it on the table—no further actions were taken. Appreciate your response.

These connections are coated in gold plating. That's acceptable. Be sure the surface isn't damp from dew before using power.

It would require a clear, noticeable decrease in water volume for me to worry
