For my desktop setup which uses Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit, which Intel drivers should I install from that link? I’ve already saved two files—one for 32-bit and another for 64-bit—but after filtering to only Windows 8.1 64-bit results, there’s just one driver available. Wouldn’t I also need the graphics card driver? Updated June 29, 2015 by Alir
Windows sets up everything required without prompting, and keeps them current via Windows Update...
You're asking about something unclear. It seems you're wondering why Intel added certain files to their downloads even though they might not be needed. You also want confirmation from others and a verification of the claim. Let me know if you'd like help checking this information.
It's not added separately since it comes with the motherboard drivers.
Hmm, I wasn't sure about that. The version numbers don't always reflect actual age. Sometimes a higher number means an updated release, not necessarily a newer one. You might want to check the official documentation for more details. As for choosing between the versions, it's better to focus on the date rather than just the number. Asus' version seems slightly older, but both could be recent.
Stick to the original OEM driver file. It's likely ASUS didn't design the board to match Intel's requirements. Sometimes they enhance it beyond specs. Generally, using the OEM version is recommended.
