It's understandable to be upset about that issue. Hopefully, the assistance was helpful.

It's partially accurate. The 7700 performs worse in single-threaded tasks and has only four cores, though it supports eight threads. We've observed that 4CPU/8thcore setups often handle games better than a 6-core i5 when the game demands more than six threads or stays within six without exceeding them. I didn't claim the 7700 is superior in raw speed; instead, it's considered a better gaming CPU due to its balanced performance and suitability for current game requirements compared to a 9600K.

Upgrading to an i7 or i9 sounds like a smart move, Dr.! Those processors will definitely boost your performance. Let me know if you need any help with the transition. Cheers!

It seems like you're considering a budget of around 9600k+2070 for a system that's already quite powerful. That suggests you might have missed out on a better deal, and upgrading could be costly. A 9700k would be a solid choice but isn't cheap. The 9900k is an option, though it comes with an 8-core CPU and newer consoles running on 8 cores or higher threads, which may not be ideal for long-term performance.

I'm focusing on consistent performance rather than peak speed. The i5 offers more stability, no lag, just normal use. The eight-core setup lets the game utilize its intended thread count, keeping it running smoothly. Although FPS might drop, the game will operate reliably. We've noticed this with similar models before—picking the 3100 or 3300x was better than higher-end options like the 3500x or older 6-core i5s. While max FPS will be lower, games needing more than six threads still function well compared to systems with fewer cores. I'm not claiming the 7700 is superior overall; it just fits this game's needs because it requires eight threads, and it won't perform well without them.
