The is a new build I just put together. I get an issue where the PC can boot with and without EXPO. But restarts/reboots always fail and the EZ Debug LEDs show Yellow which indicates DRAM error. I have ensured multiple times that the RAM sticks were seated correctly. I also followed the directions in the motherboard manual where you need to start with first stick in DIMMA2 and second stick goes in DIMMB2. But it doesn't help. The RAM (part number: PVV532G600C36K) is not listed in the RAM compatibility list for the MSI PRO B650M-A WIFI. If a RAM isn't present in the compatibility list, will it definitely be incompatible? Is there an incompatibility list? Before I go an buy another pair of RAM sticks which is in the compatibility list, I want to be sure that the issue is the RAM sticks. Could the CPU or the motherboard itself be the problem? What can I do? Any help is appreciated. Setup: CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 9600X 3.9 GHz 6-Core Processor CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Spectrum V3 71.93 CFM CPU Cooler Motherboard: MSI PRO B650M-A WIFI Micro ATX AM5 Motherboard Memory: Patriot Viper Venom 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL36 Memory (PVV532G600C36K) Case: Cooler Master Elite 301 MicroATX Mid Tower Case Power Supply: MSI MAG A750GL PCIE5 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply Images from motherboard for reference.

What bios version is active? MCR is off, power down is on.

Have you used just one piece at a time? Testing both will help determine if the issue lies with one defective component. The compatibility list indicates what has been verified as functional. They aren’t able to evaluate every possibility.

It's also likely that neither option will function because of a compatibility issue. If all attempts fail—even with @Tetras' suggestions—provide the RAM details and choose a model marked as compatible.

I'm using the newest 7D77v1P BIOS. I just attempted MCR off but it didn't resolve the problem. I plan to power down and then turn it back on next time. Yes, I've checked every possible setup. Thanks for the tip—I saw someone else on Reddit with the same issue.

Maybe just replace the RAM.
