Hi everyone. The situation was that my friend's PC wasn't working properly. I offered to check it since I'm familiar with computers. After examining, I thought it might be the hard drive. During troubleshooting, I removed the CPU to see if the issue was there. I took out the fan and heatsink, then reassembled everything except the CPU cooler and restarted it. It booted into Windows but shut off again. I believe this was due to overheating. Did I accidentally damage the CPU? P.S. The CPU model is an AMD A8 7600.
Possible outcome suggests minimal harm, though repeating this approach later isn't advisable.
It seems the system isn't starting properly despite checking everything. I think I need to reassemble the PC using the heatshield and fan again. It looks like I might need to purchase a different AMD FM2 socket CPU.
Observe gamers on Nexus, they demonstrate these kinds of tests so we don’t need to attempt them ourselves lol
