Shared the same idea with the other person, adjusted to 500 (changed from 300) and then tested at 999 (aim for 0 = unlimited). No changes made.

Yes, but what I mentioned doesn't indicate a CPU bottleneck. Just because it's the top choice doesn't mean it can handle unlimited power. You might also be using power-saving modes instead of performance settings, depending on your laptop's configuration (even when connected). Your device could be stopping the CPU from reaching its turbo speed, which would greatly limit its single-core performance—something CS:GO would likely dislike.

Don't misunderstand the direction, but why is the limit around 150-200 important? Are you relying on this device for serious competition?

You're correct, but many users have optimized CS for higher FPS, even with weaker CPUs. It seems like CPU power might be a bigger factor than I realized (as you mentioned). CS is quite sensitive to CPU performance, which I noticed from some forum discussions. I'll review the power settings and test it in high performance mode. Appreciate your feedback!

It's fine, 150-200 frames per second is enough for smooth playback. What I aimed to do was see how much performance the system could deliver at low settings, and what I discovered (keeping fps constant) was quite unexpected, which led me to investigate further.

I consistently achieve around 350 fps on my PC, regardless of adjustments. It seems the system is no longer motivated to improve further. Best of luck!

The 7820HK is a robust mobile processor that remains in use today.

Relies on the limitations of those CPUs, not just their specs. CS:GO doesn’t seem focused on core numbers or Hyperthreading, so it’s unclear if it fully uses your i7’s strengths. It might even suggest that a fast desktop Pentium or i3 could outperform a mobile i7 in frame rates.

You're referring to optimizing performance by leveraging the main server location and adjusting BIOS settings. It sounds like you're considering boosting performance through power management and pre-game configurations. I didn't understand much about OCing at first, but I think setting high-performance power modes and using specific launch parameters could help. Also, checking forums for recommended settings might be useful. Thanks!
