Hello! After two years of using this PC, the power supply stopped working and now electricity disappears in your home whenever you turn it on. I checked the supply by turning it on alone and it failed again. I’m curious if other components might be affected and how to test them safely. I’m considering getting a spare from a friend to see if it works, but I want to know if it could impact their power supply and what wattage they should use for testing. Here are the parts you shared: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/XLdkbL

Did you buy the BitFenix PSU two years back or is it newer? The unit includes a 7-year warranty, meaning any failure would likely fall under that coverage against BitFenix. It’s possible some components have been damaged. When I power on the PC, a 450-500W PSU seems sufficient. If another part failed and caused the PSU to stop working (and it’s not covered), your friends’ PSU might also be impacted.

I’d bring my laptop to a tech repair place for testing. They’d check the power supply unit and other parts. If the PSU is bad, it would be covered under warranty since it comes with a seven-year guarantee.
