I own an older H55MXV motherboard and I’m curious if this RAM will fit. I’m open to any advice or alternatives. DDR3, 2x8GB, Kingston Furry, 1866MHz—anything that works?

It should function, though it operates at 1333mHz which means extra cost isn't worth it

Sure thing, it makes sense to go for a 1333MHz frequency.

Your system might be struggling due to insufficient RAM. The freezing and stuttering during fast driving suggest memory constraints rather than CPU or GPU issues. Check your current RAM capacity and compare it to the recommended amount for GTA 5.
