You're wondering if upgrading to 32 GB RAM is possible by purchasing the same 16 GB kit you currently have. It's worth checking with the manufacturer or retailer, as availability may depend on the specific configuration. If you're considering a similar setup, ensure the new RAM matches the specifications—especially the speed and compatibility with your motherboard.

As long as the same kit and timing are used, adding more RAM works fine.

Welcome to the forum! In short, yes. There is a slight risk you may not be able to OC to the rated speed of 3200MHz with the addition of the second kit of RAM. But as long as you get the same kit, with the identical part number you should have no issues in the future. Otherwise parts look good, although I would recommend a B550 motherboard at this point.

Hey @TheDailyProcrastinator, I’m concerned about missing the 3200MHz target when I receive the second kit. I intend to upgrade to a B550 or X570 later. I built this rig two weeks ago, but at the time I couldn’t find a suitable motherboard. I became frustrated waiting since February this year to finally start assembling my own machine and had to settle for alternatives.

As long as the kit is identical it should be fine, there is a very slight possibility that it could cause issues, so I don't want to 100% guarantee that it won't be an issues. But again, very unlikely with an identical kit, don't worry about that now. If there is an issue that is for future @Finnzz1988 to worry about! Great profile pic BTW! Fair enough, B550 launch was long drawn out. If you decide to go for 4th gen Ryzen and you can update the bios on your board then, no need to upgrade the motherboard, literally zero point. I just assumed this was a parts list to buy and therefor recommended B550 as a future CPU upgrade(s) would be more streamline. But again no concern here or reason to upgrade in the future if your board works fine. The Tomahawk Max was a good B450 choice regardless.

Thanks for the guidance! I'm sure I'll share more soon. Just want to make sure the focus stays on professional tasks, not personal computers!
