You might want a different power supply since the Ryzen 5 1600 AF uses more power than the older i3 3250. Make sure your PSU can handle the increased load.

I don't think using a generic PSU is wise, but since my i3 works fine on it, I'm just trying to be safe and avoid damaging my motherboard and CPU.

I’ll know when I get a new PSU, but I’m curious if you can run the CPU without it right now. You don’t have the funds for a PSU yet, though.
