You're facing a tough choice between PC and console for Elden Ring. With your setup—12700k CPU, 32GB RAM, RTX 3080 GPU—it's likely you'll run smoothly on either platform, but console performance might feel more optimized. What version are others using?

You'd want a system that balances performance with stability. A mid-range setup with a solid CPU, decent RAM, and an SSD would likely handle most games smoothly without needing the top-tier specs.

I might have phrased my worries differently... My main issue is that the game isn’t well optimized for PC, especially since it’s a console-focused title. I haven’t tried playing the Souls games on PC myself, so I don’t know if they faced any problems. I only played them on consoles.

You're definitely in the right place for high-end gaming. I haven't played a console title since the PS2, but I've seen a lot of PC action lately and think it's all fine.

Having a sledgehammer means most nails will come out easily, even if not perfectly optimized. You probably won’t notice many performance problems since the developers have likely fixed them over time. Feel free to go ahead and raid!
