I recommend pairing it with an RX480 alongside the GTX 1070. Use a 240GB to 500GB SSD, paired with a 2TB HDD. Boost the RAM to 8GB and add another 16GB for optimal performance. Optimize your CPU clock speed to 4.5-4.7GHz.
Not suitable for someone with an R9 290. It's only a minor improvement.
Enhance your storage setup to stay efficient for several more years. Consider switching to a faster SSD for quicker game loads and possibly add another hard drive. The existing system will remain functional enough for smooth gaming performance.
This machine is quite impressive even now. If you're really keen, consider adding 16GB of RAM and reinstalling Windows, especially if it's an older version. You can also transfer your files to an external SSD or HDD to boost performance when using the hard drive. In the future, upgrading the graphics card and possibly the CPU would be beneficial. Overall, it's a solid setup, but I wouldn't replace it entirely just yet.
