Check your motherboard and RAM for issues.
I modified the bios while attempting to resolve the problem, wondering about resetting the pc.
I don't believe your motherboard or RAM is malfunctioning. Consider testing it with just two memory modules since four can strain the controller. Also, since they're two kits, they haven't been evaluated together at full speed. If it functions with just two, you might try reinstalling all four but disable XMP or adjust timing settings until stability returns. Unfortunately, using two sticks is simpler than four. Perhaps returning the four could yield two 16GB modules? EDIT: I also overlooked mentioning whether a kit in your QVL has been tested on your board at rated speed.
it functions properly, appears to work with two sticks. It seems like using two sticks is necessary for stability during testing, and since I'm unfamiliar with XMP, I left it off. I was able to boot with four sticks, but after a short time the PC froze even though the mouse remained functional.
It looks like your memory might be a bit shaky. The freezing and memory issues from QVL seemed to resolve them. Tighter timing could help, but it seems the best solution is using QVL memory with two sticks. That worked for me.
Great! I'm here to assist. Let me know if you need anything else!
I don’t have expert knowledge, but it seems your RAM isn’t listed there. It’s possible you don’t have a quad-core 16GB module installed, which could be why the problem isn’t resolved. That would make sense given the limited memory available. Sorry, I’m still learning this!
