I performed a battery test when the laptop was at around 21% charge. After connecting the charger, I began charging it. Usually, my laptop stays plugged in. The display shows Design Capacity 84,292 mWh and Full Charger Capacity 73,676 mWh. Cycle Count indicates a usage pattern of about a year ago. Is this typical? Should I repeat the test when the battery is fully charged at 100%? Why does it show no cycle count? Normally, my laptop remains plugged in most of the time. Recently, I’ve been using it unplugged for periods down to around 50%, 20%, and 10%, after which it would shut off due to low battery. I don’t usually do this, but I wanted to assess how long the battery lasts when not connected. My thoughts? I think a replacement is expected every 1.5 to 2 years. As a heavy user, my laptop runs at least 12 hours daily. You should review the battery’s history—recently it was 84,292 mWh, then dropped to about 84,000 mWh after six months, followed by another week before reaching 80,000 mWh, and now around 73,767 mWh.
I ran the test once more with the laptop fully charged, and the outcomes stayed consistent. What’s your estimated annual energy loss in mWh?
