Recently, I needed to access my PC (which had been running overnight) and discovered it was showing a white/light grey screen. After restarting, there was no display at all—no second monitor either, not even in BIOS mode. The integrated graphics were turned off, causing strange visual issues, so I pressed the CMOS reset button to restore them. This resulted in a very distorted BIOS interface (the screen split vertically with messed-up images). Eventually, I removed the graphics card entirely. This time, the video output worked perfectly in BIOS. I also tried using another V-BIOS on the card, but it didn’t help. It seems my graphics card might be completely failed, though I’m not sure if I missed any steps. My system setup looks like this: MSI B650-I Edge AMD 5950X EVGA 3070 FTW3.

It would be useful to test the card in a different environment. It might work as various components like PSU, software, GPU, or even just maintenance if overheating occurs.

I question whether it’s becoming excessively warm right after powering on, since there were no early temperature warnings. I’ll have my friend test it in his setup. Thanks!

We experimented with various solutions. Another graphics card appeared to be the issue, leading me to suspect a faulty motherboard. I considered replacing it, but then I attempted a final step—cleaning the PCIe slot thoroughly with a brush and air. Now everything is working again! It seems something must have been lodged in the slot.
