System Details: Processor – Ryzen 5 7600 (stock cooler) RAM – Aorus B650 Pro AX Graphics Card GPU – XFX Radeon RX 6700XT Storage – Western Digital SN770 1TB NVMe Power Supply – Corsair RM750x I recently assembled this build, everything started functioning normally except for occasional startup glitches where the monitor wouldn’t receive a signal. Restarting resolved the problem. Attempted to launch APEX for the first time, but performance was extremely poor and CPU utilization reached 100%. AMD Adrenaline displayed integrated graphics instead of the 6700XT, indicating the card wasn’t recognized properly. Device manager listed the GPU as disabled, and when I tried enabling it, it reported a device issue. I moved the card to the lower PCIe slot on the motherboard, which supports PCIe 4.0, but it’s still detected and used for graphics rendering – clearly very slow. Anyone know if this points more toward a PCIe slot problem or an internal graphics card fault? Thanks ahead for your help!

Test the card in a different environment. Use GPU-Z to verify the PCIe bus operates at its full speed for PCI x16 4.0 while under load. Also, check the behavior of the "?" indicator by clicking or holding it.

I experienced similar problems after purchasing a 6600XT. Everything seemed fine at first, but it didn’t work properly once I realized my card was present. Performance dropped to around 15-20 FPS in a game where I expected over 200. Eventually, I disposed of the original card and bought another one, which functioned better. I recommend testing the card on another system to confirm. AMD’s drivers have been problematic; they often cause unexpected issues. It might help trying a different version to see if results change.

Great news, that really helped. I thought it might connect to the driver, but it’s working perfectly now!
