Check your GPU memory capacity for Intel graphics.
Currently I have an intel i9-10900k without a GPU. I attempted to boost the VRAM because I have 32GB of RAM via the BIOS, but the system reports only 128MB. In Maya, I see an error stating my graphics card has 1GB of VRAM. Did the increase actually happen? Is changing it harmful? Why is the value reduced?
I adjusted the VRAM setting in the BIOS and confirmed it lists 128 MB. A screenshot shows the exact value displayed. You can usually set this to a larger size like 2 GB, though it will reduce available RAM for the CPU. With 32 GB or more, it shouldn’t be a problem.
I'll check the screenshot later when you're back home. Right now, in Windows settings and graphics properties, it shows 128MB, and sometimes videos mention up to 2048MB, though only 1024 is available. It's unclear if that difference matters, but I assume it does on your Z490 Prime motherboard.
