Hello! For gaming, you'll want a version with better performance and stability. Among your options—Win 7, Win 8, and Win 8.1—Win 8 is the best choice. It offers improved graphics, faster processing, and better compatibility with modern games compared to older versions. Win 8.1 is still decent but may lag behind newer titles. Stick with Win 8 for a smoother gaming experience.

It's the latest version, and there are no negative aspects regardless of what others think.

It's clear that a perfect metro system couldn't have been better than what was available. ... Oh, and picking Windows 8 over 8.1 didn't really help much; it still felt like a step backward when you were stuck with 8.1. I'm sure Microsoft will eventually move toward something closer to 7, maybe even Windows 9 in the future. For me, metro hasn't been implemented consistently.

In 5 seconds you can resolve it... it’s quicker and simpler than using the start button if you ignore it. People who don’t care will just say nonsense.

Windows 8.1, dismiss the opinions about "Windows 7 for life" or "Windows 8+ is bad." They usually come from people who can't afford it or just follow trends. You're in control—pick the OS that suits you best and enjoy using it.

Select version 8.1 and boot to the desktop. Avoid using the Metro interface unless necessary. To locate items typically found in the Start menu, press the Windows key and begin typing your query.
