Kasper Jorgensen explains that your PSU is functioning well and doesn’t need an upgrade. The R9 390 PSU requires between 600 to 650 watts. He mentions the unit is of decent quality but warns it might hit its limits even with stock settings. Overclocking is still possible, though exceeding capacity could cause random shutdowns without damage. He notes uncertainty about how much headroom you have before performance issues arise and that excessive overclocking may indicate insufficient power support. He also points out AMD understands their products and advises being cautious about pushing the system too far.
Kasper Jorgensen shares his thoughts on your PSU situation. He mentions it’s fine and doesn’t need an upgrade. The R9 390 PSU needs between 600 to 650 watts. He notes your unit is of decent quality, but you might be near its limits even with the stock model. You can still overclock, though, because exceeding limits could cause random shutdowns—though it won’t harm anything if it happens. He’s unsure how much headroom you have before performance drops occur. He also suggests considering a 650-watt upgrade if you aim for maximum overclocking, since your card is power-hungry. This is just his personal opinion.
