I own an i5-9600K and a Gigabyte Designare Z390 motherboard—though I admit it's a bit too powerful for most setups, but it was one of the few with Hakintosh and Thunderbolt support. Many forums mention this CPU can hit 5.1 cores in some scenarios, but mine doesn't quite reach it. After running tests with Intel Extreme Utility and Prime95, I found that at around 1.360V (a bit high for me), it performs decently: core 1 & 3 at 5.14GHz, cores 2 & 6 at 5.04GHz, core 5 at 4.94GHz, and core 3 at 4.84GHz (reference speed is 100.9GHz). When I applied this setup to the BIOS, it saved data, but HWinfo keeps showing all cores struggling at the lowest speed (4.84GHz) with voltage fluctuations up to 1.460V during testing at 5.14GHz. Anyone know why this happens and how to fix it? The changes I made in BIOS still appear to be active.

According to my understanding, setting a core-specific overclock isn't feasible. Most Intel systems let you set multipliers for different numbers of cores—like 1-core, 2-cores, or 3-cores—but not individually per core. Check your BIOS settings for details.

It should work since your CPU is from Intel with varying clock speeds. Check the BIOS default settings.

These statements clarify that the numbers refer to the performance with three cores running, not just a single core. The higher the number of active cores, the better the ratio decreases.
