Could someone assist with enhancing your CPU? I'm using an AMD Phenom II X4 960T motherboard with GIGABYTE GA-970A-DS3P FX RAM, Corsair XMS3 16GB DDR3, a Sapphire Radeon HD 6870, and other components listed.

x4 960t supports unlocked multi, so even with a subpar board you can still boost clock speed. Consider getting an 8xx model by swapping in your 970, since the 9xx chips are both poor FSB-wise and lack core unlocking.

Not always accurate – My Sabertooth 3.0 easily exceeds 350 on the bus, and I’m confident my Crosshair V-Z consistently hits 300+ FSB throughout the day. AMD’s decision to remove core unlocking is the issue; it wasn’t the board’s fault for those who can’t unlock cores. Be sure to acknowledge AMD for that change. There’s no certainty hidden cores will unlock or function properly, as silicon uncertainty remains. With an 8xx board running an AM3 (not AM3+) chip, this is the optimal option. In practice, any solid AM3/AM3+ board works, though 8xx models are preferred for specific reasons.
